Meet Kirsten

Kirsten’s path to physical therapy began through her own experience as a competitive runner. After earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University, she spent more than a decade treating orthopedic conditions in the Yakima Valley.

Her own experience with postpartum pelvic pain while returning to running ultimately led her to pelvic health—bringing together her orthopedic background, love of movement, and passion for helping women stay active.

Beyond the Clinic

Outside the clinic, Kirsten enjoys life with her husband and two children, running, cross-country skiing, and spending time outdoors. She believes movement, nourishing food, recovery, and quality time with family are all important pieces of whole-body health—and brings that same practical perspective to her patients.

PATIENT EXPERIENCE

Care that makes a difference.

I've been seeing Kirsten for awhile to work on some chronic dysfunction in my hip and low back. I've been able to overcome chronic pain and learn new ways of moving that I didn't think were possible I've made tremendous progress with her guidance over ~3 years of on-and-off appointments. She is really good and listening to what I'm saying and starting to tell a story. I also have worked with her on postpartum recovery for two pregnancies. She is very professional and is attentive to specific body mechanics rather than assigning generic exercises.

ABOUT KIRSTEN

Care shaped by experience—
both professional and personal.

A whole-person approach to physical therapy.

Kirsten Clarke-Hollingbery, PT, DPT, FAFS, is a physical therapist and founder of Vitality Physical Therapy with a passion for helping women move well, feel strong, and better understand their bodies.

Her path to physical therapy began through her own experience as a track and cross-country runner at Central Washington University, where navigating several injuries sparked an interest in movement, recovery, and rehabilitation. After earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University, Kirsten spent more than a decade practicing in outpatient orthopedics in the Yakima Valley before establishing Vitality Physical Therapy.

Kirsten’s interest in pelvic health became personal after experiencing postpartum pelvic pain while returning to running following the birth of her first child. That experience led her to pursue advanced education in women’s health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and prenatal and postpartum care.

Today, she combines her orthopedic background, pelvic health training, and Applied Functional Science approach to look beyond an isolated symptom and understand how the entire body may be contributing. Her goal is to provide individualized care that addresses the underlying factors behind pelvic floor, core, and musculoskeletal concerns while helping patients return to the activities that matter to them.

Education is an important part of Kirsten’s approach. She wants patients to understand what is happening in their bodies and leave treatment with practical strategies, movement, and exercises they can use confidently on their own.
